Terms of Use
Last updated: 2025-11-22Using NoteASAP
NoteASAP is a web-based note editor designed for taking notes, organizing meetings, and using an AI assistant to help with writing tasks. By using NoteASAP, you agree to use the service in a reasonable way-for its intended purpose of note-taking and productivity.
No guarantees
NoteASAP is provided "as-is" without guarantees of uptime, fitness for a particular purpose, or freedom from bugs. We work hard to keep the service running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee:
- That the service will always be available or error-free
- That your data will never be lost (though we do our best to prevent this)
- That features will work exactly as you expect
Recommendation: Keep local backups of critical notes using the export features.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the content you create and store in NoteASAP:
- Legal use: Don't upload illegal content or use the service for unlawful activities
- No abuse: Don't spam, hack, or try to overwhelm the service
- Respect others: Don't use NoteASAP to harm, harass, or impersonate others
- Account security: Keep your login credentials secure and don't share your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.
AI limitations
The AI assistant in NoteASAP is powered by large language models (such as OpenAI's GPT or Anthropic's Claude). These models have limitations:
- Can be wrong: AI responses may contain errors, outdated information, or made-up facts
- Not professional advice: Do not rely on AI for medical, legal, or financial decisions
- Bias: AI may reflect biases present in its training data
- Context limits: AI has limited memory and may not fully understand complex situations
Use AI responsibly: Always verify important information and consult qualified professionals for critical decisions.
Intellectual property
You retain ownership of the notes and content you create in NoteASAP. By using the service, you grant us permission to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service (such as showing your notes, sending them to AI providers for responses, or generating exports).
NoteASAP's code, design, and branding are owned by Steve Nguyen and protected by intellectual property laws.
Termination
You can stop using NoteASAP at any time by deleting your account. We may also terminate or suspend your access to the service if you violate these terms or abuse the platform.
Changes to these terms
As NoteASAP evolves, we may update these terms. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or a notice in the app. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated terms. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when these terms were last revised.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NoteASAP and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. This includes (but is not limited to) loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in Australian courts.
