What we collect

When you use NoteASAP, we collect minimal information to provide the service:

Account info: Email address and name (if you provide it)
Notes you choose to save to the cloud
Basic usage analytics and error logs to improve the service
Device and browser information for security and compatibility

How we use it

We use the information we collect to:

Run NoteASAP: Save and load your notes, keep you logged in
Monitor performance and fix bugs when things go wrong
Prevent abuse and keep the service secure for everyone
Send important service updates (we won't spam you)

We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.

Storage and third-party services

NoteASAP uses trusted third-party providers for hosting, database storage, and AI processing. These providers store and process data on our behalf under strict privacy agreements. Your notes remain private and are not used to train AI models.

Users in Australia and the United States

Australia: We aim to align with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. We collect only what's necessary, protect your information, and give you control over your data.

United States: We follow similar privacy principles- minimal data collection, strong security measures, and no selling of personal information to third parties.

AI assistant

When you send a prompt to the AI assistant, relevant snippets of your note and your question are sent to our AI provider (such as OpenAI or Anthropic) to generate a response. This processing happens in real-time and the data is not used to train the provider's models.

Important: The AI assistant can be wrong or outdated. Do not rely on AI responses for medical, legal, or financial decisions. Always verify critical information with qualified professionals.

Your choices

You're in control of your data:

Delete notes: You can delete individual notes or entire folders inside the app at any time
Delete your account: Contact us to request complete account deletion (we'll provide a simple way to do this soon)
Export your data: Use the built-in export features to download your notes as Markdown, Word, or PDF files

Changes to this privacy policy

As NoteASAP evolves, we may update this privacy policy. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or a notice in the app. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last revised.
